The new Leica Geovid Pro 32 laser rangefinder: unique peak performance without compromise

The Leica Geovid Pro 32 sets a new standard in the premium professional segment with outstanding optics, precise range finding, a multifunctional ballistics calculator, and an ergonomic design based on a 32-mm lens diameter.

Universal, high-end optics
The compact, lightweight Leica Geovid Pro binoculars with a 32-mm lens diameter offer a level of optical performance previously only known in specialty binoculars without rangefinders. One high-performance component is the Perger-Porro prism system used by Leica. The Leica Geovid Pro 32 can be used anywhere exact reproduction of detail is required. Brilliant color, contrast, and image sharpness are indispensable, for example, when identifying animal species. With its high light transmission combined with a large field of view, the Leica Geovid Pro 32 can replace premium binoculars without compromise and becomes an absolutely universal glass thanks to its additional features.

Range finding
The laser rangefinder built into the Leica Geovid Pro 32 draws on 30 years of research and development by Leica Sport Optics. By measuring the travel time of a laser beam emitted and reflected at the speed of light, the distance to the target is calculated within minimal tolerances. The laser in the Leica Geovid Pro 32 is safely and durably installed. At close range, objects like grass or branches are masked out to prevent incorrect measurements. At longer ranges, the secondary target logic ensures that only the desired object is measured.

The pinnacle of ballistics development
The world’s most advanced ballistics program. A ballistics calculator in the binoculars interacts with a ballistics app on the hunter’s smartphone. Binoculars and smartphone communicate via Bluetooth®. In this way, settings selected in the app (data configuration) can be transferred to the binoculars (computer) and the binoculars can transfer measurement data to the app. Instead of the app a weather meter by Kestrel® can be connected to the binoculars. The Applied Ballistics Ultralight® software supplied with the binoculars offers a database of G1/G7 data and more than 740 factory ammunition cartridges. In addition, the extensive Leica database is available. The basic version calculates trajectories and associated corrections for accurate holdovers up to 875 yards. Upgrades to the Applied Ballistics Sportsman® and Applied Ballistics Elite® versions are available and easy to implement. The upgrades offer greater calculation distances as well as additional features. The Leica Geovid Pro 32 enables accurate shots over short, medium, and long ranges. Special requirements can be met by entering wind direction and wind speed. Accuracy of +/- 0.25 yards at distances of up to 200 yards provides the results bow hunters require.

Tracking to a measured point with LPT TM (LeicaProTrack)
In addition to the rangefinder, the Leica Geovid Pro 32 has a built-in compass. Together with the ballistics calculator, the Leica Geovid Pro 32 can determine geographical positions in the field. The position of the last distance measurement is automatically saved and can be recalled for target guidance. In other words, the Leica Geovid Pro 32 can safely guide the hunter to the target or another previously measured point in the field. This is done via the smartphone display, where a simple compass needle or even a map based on Google Maps® or BaseMap® appears. The compass needle makes it easy to determine the direction of travel to the target. On Google Maps® or BaseMap® background maps, the hunter can even see the target’s position embedded in a graphical terrain display. So the route becomes easy and safe, even under difficult conditions. This mature, highly-accurate GPS tracking feature addresses the long-standing need to quickly and ethically locate shot game.

Ergonomic powerhouse fits in a pocket
An open bridge design makes the Leica Geovid Pro 32 very easy to grip. This allows the binoculars to be held with one hand, firmly yet relaxed. Even prolonged observation is possible without fatigue. The number of controls are kept to a minimum and the buttons are placed within easy reach. The Leica Geovid Pro 32 can be easily operated with gloves. Its gently curved shape, very compact dimensions, and low weight make the Leica Geovid Pro 32 an inconspicuous daily companion that even fits in a waist pack.

Practically unlimited applications
The small size, precise range finding, and top optical performance – comparable to premium binoculars without range finding – make the Leica Geovid Pro 32 a universal glass. Especially on alpine hunts and when stalking, the hunter can move freely without worry and rely on top performance under all conditions. The Leica Geovid Pro 32 is key equipment for every hunting trip, keeping travelers prepared for any hunting situation in any part of the world without compromise, and with the smallest pack size. Thanks to its high light transmission, and a level of contrast previously unattained in Leica laser binoculars, the Leica Geovid Pro 32 is even suitable for twilight use, despite its small lens diameter of 32 mm.
